An OS is a house

 While waiting for something on Windows to get fixed, I figured I might try making a simple analogy to describe the experiences I often have trying to search online to fix an issue.

Changes incoming! (not in the blog tho)

Just a few changes around here:

• The QuantumDiscord is now becoming the QuantoniumDiscord to act as teh official discord for Quantonium- see quantonium.net for more info.
• My Twitch link now has the underscore removed (QuantumQuantonium)
• My Saturday streaming schedule will likely be revised soon to move game development related livestreams to Quantonium, so subscribe there too!
• I might make another real blog post soon, depending on how I feel about making a real blog post

Bypassing location-based account restrictions, and the risks of password sharing

A company who I will not name has recently taken corporate-driven action to reduce the accessibility of signing into their service from different locations, under the claim that it reduces password sharing. I'll discuss why these actions do not actually reduce password sharing, and some actions which could be taken to actually stop password sharing and also maintain profits.
